coping with stress

We live in a culture that values hard work and rewards hard work, but often times this goes too far and we ask too much of ourselves or we let others ask too much of us.

Stress hormones take a toll on our health; we may neglect our body’s needs, we may struggle to sleep, we may fail to rest, leading us to feel exhausted all the time.

We may take to unhealthy means to cope with feelings of stress: overeating, drinking alcohol, taking drugs, anything just to feel better.

Stress may even cause us become frozen in overwhelm and lead to crippling procrastination.

I can help you learn how to make yourself a priority.  How to be kind to yourself by setting realistic boundaries and being assertive.  You can’t make more time in the day, but you can learn to be purposeful with your energy and to cut out unhealthy and unhelpful distractions.
